In Mexico, Día De Los Muertos is not about costumes and candy corn, it is a serious holiday that allows those that have lost loved ones to honor and celebrate the deceased with offerings of food, wine, flowers and candles. Each year, Mano A Mano sets up a beautiful altar where people can learn about and take part in the true traditions and practices of Día de Muertos. Participants will enjoy art workshops, Mexican foods, arts and crafts marketplace and live music. FREE

5. Hollywood Glamour Horror Party

6. Rouge Tomate, the Comeback

Tuesday-Sunday for lunch and dinner
Though not technically new, Rouge Tomate returns with a new spirit after closing its UES location in 2014. Now housed in two carriage houses in Chelsea, the vibe is less formal, aiming more for wine bar than high-end restaurant. The menu is vegetable-centric with meat and fish options. The real attraction, however, is the enormous wine list.
