1. Vegetarian Festival
Metropolitan Pavilion (Chelsea)
Sat, May 7th-Sun, May 8th from 11am-6pm
Vegetarians, vegans and anyone into clean (and cruelty-free) eating and living will enjoy the plant-based offerings at the NYC Vegetarian Food Festival. Come check out the the food samplings, cooking demos, guest speakers, food vendors, clothing, accessories, home and body products.
2. Cinco de Mayo, Surreal
The Blank Ant (East Village)
Thurs, May 5th
Not your typical Cinco de Mayo celebration, The Black Ant invites partiers to partake in a surreal version of the Mexican Holiday that commemorates the Mexican army’s victory over the French. Whatever is in store, we are certain our senses will be aflame.
3. Italian Seaside Rooftop
La Birreria at Eataly (Flatiron)
Sun-Wed from 11:30am-11pm; Thurs-Sat from 11:30am-12am.
This winter Eataly brought you the Alps themed pop-up Baita. This summer, that space transforms into a seaside getaway, Sabbia, complete with cabanas and coastal themed drinks/fare. Sabbia is the perfect option for those that may not make it to Capri this summer…
4. Kentucky Derby Party
Hotel Chantelle (Lower East Side)
Sat, May 7th from 3:30-9pm
No need to sacrifice our love of a swanky party to watch this year’s Kentucky Derby. Hotel Chantelle’s Derby Style with its 3 floor party, complete with DJs and TVs screens to watch the race, will keep us cheering and dancing, and so will the complimentary Mint Julep or champagne.
5. America’s Cup Sails to NY
The Event Village at Brookfield Place (Battery Park)
Sat, May 7th-Sun, May 8th at 2pm
This weekend, for the first time in almost 100 years, the international sailing competition America’s Cup will sails into the New York Harbor! Head to The Event Village at Brookfield Place to watch the race, cheer the teams and enjoy entertainment, food vendors and sponsor activities.
