Garcelle Beauvais Talks Spiderman, Her Career And More

The name Garcelle Beauvais is already well-known in Hollywood, especially for her role Francesca ‘Fancy’ Monroe in “The Jamie Foxx show,” but more recently, you may be familiar with her role as Doris Toomes in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”

Although she has so many amazing memories and is beyond grateful for her past, she believes that “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is one to remember. Not only because of the huge blockbuster potential, but her 9-year-old twins have been so excited, it’s made it even more amazing.

On top of her kids approval, she had a blast working with Michael Keaton and loved working with both Spiderman and Batman. Getting to be involved with a Marvel movie was a memorable moment in Beauvais’ life. Not only was “Spider-Man: Homecoming” a fan-favorite all around the world, it was a fan-favorite of Beauvais’ as well.

Throughout her career, Beauvais has been inspired and had great times working with numerous big names, such as Jamie Foxx, Denzel Washington, and Channing Tatum.

While filming “White House Down,” Beauvais’ first time meeting Channing Tatum caught her insanely off-guard She shared with us, that she’d never forget how he came up to her saying how big of a fan of he her he was. Shocked and happy, she could only find one response, “Well, I am a huge fan of you!”

Her acting career started from her modeling gig with Ford Models Agency where she landed a few parts here and there, until that blissful moment where the calls kept coming, and she went on to land some bigger parts, and from that moment on, she created a name for herself in the world of Hollywood.

When asked about which actresses she looks up to, she said there were almost too many to count. So many inspiring and strong actresses out there, but few in particular were Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Viola Davis, and Nicole Kidman. Adding to that, she shared that these actresses have helped shaped her into the actress she is today and has led to her success.

Currently Beauvais is back home in Los Angeles spending the rest of the summer with her kids and running a production company, where she spends a lot of time pitching shows, reading scripts, and behind the camera work. Do yourself a favor and catch her on the big screen in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” You’ll be glad you did!
