Chef Raffaele Ronca Places First on Chopped, Donates Winnings

FullSizeRender (3)As mentioned during his time on the Food Network’s intense cooking spectacle Chopped, chef Raffaele Ronca planned to donate his winnings to the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center should he win the entire competition. True to his word, Ronca placed first in the rigorous event and donated his $10,000 earnings to the center.

The Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center offers pediatric, rehabilitative and palliative care to children with a number of medically complex ailments. At their facilities in Yonkers, children and their families can receive specialized and personalized care from their dedicated staff starting at infancy until age 21.

Chef Ronca and his delectable Naples-style cuisine have been featured several times in Downtown Magazine and he continues to cultivate delicious dishes at his restaurant Ristorante Rafele in the West Village.
