Celebrate in Luxury at Hakkasan

When our CEO was considering a quiet birthday this past December, we thought otherwise. Maybe it was not 150 guests, a DJ, and two very large birthday cakes but rather a symphony of flavors for her taste buds.

Hakkasan, founded in 2001 in London quickly becoming one of the worlds most prominent global restaurant, lounge and nightlife place to be. Executive Head Chef Tong Chee Hwee, has led the Hakkasan kitchen since its inception, one bite and you will quickly see his dedication to Chinese cuisine. Chef and his team have realized exceptional awards including multiple Michelin stars at Hakkasan locations across the world.

It’s expansive 11,000 square foot New York City location is not as intimidating as one may think once walking through its doors, as it’s divided into small intimate rooms of distinctive Asian design. Whether dining in a large group or as a couple its space offers great flexibility, which can be difficult to find in New York. The impressive bar is the perfect place to meet for a drink, not overly lite, and the cobalt blue screams sexy. If you’re looking for a place for a special occasion, Hakkasan you will not let down.

Once at our table, we were met with a private personalized menu, this small touch meant a lot especially since we were celebrating a special birthday. Our server was informative about each Cantonese dish served. From the first bite, we were hooked on the Cantonese distinctive flavors, presentation and exceptional quality of our meal.

A few of our favorite dishes that we had the pleasure to celebrate in luxury at Hakkasan.

Steamed dim sum platter: har gau, scallop shumai, Chinese chive dumpling, duck and yam bean dumpling. Perfectly steamed with boasting, savory flavors.

Crispy duck salad with pomelo, pine nut, and shallot, superb the flavors all come together in one bite.

Tangyuan, known to us as dumplings, are traditionally eaten during the Lantern Festival. Chocolate and black sesame sweet treats to celebrate new beginnings. Truly delicious, one bite and we were hooked.

A quiet birthday dinner with a personalized touch was exactly what we were looking for. We were able to celebrate in Luxury at Hakkasan!
