Last week, BMW launched ReachNow — its electric vehicle car-sharing program — at the Solaire in Battery Park City. The launch marks BMW’s first partnership with a real estate developer; The Albanese Organization is that ground-breaking developer. It is also the first time that ReachNow is being offered as a building amenity.

Among the hundreds of attendees gathered at the Solaire were the COO of Battery Park City and the Chief Fleet Officer of the City of New York. Thus far, 80 percent of the 700 Albanese residents who were given first access have already signed up for the program.

“The Albanese Organization is dedicated to curating healthy, high-end lifestyles for the tenants of our properties across New York,” began Russell Albanese, Chairman of the Albanese Organization. He continued: “The ReachNow program provides an added amenity to Solaire residents that promotes green living and accentuates a luxury lifestyle.”

Said Steve Banfield, CEO of ReachNow: “With the addition of ReachNow at the Solaire, we further extend our commitment to providing premium urban mobility solutions for all drivers. Solaire residents gain exclusive access to a dedicated fleet of BMW i3 electric vehicles and BMW 3 Series vehicles for an unparalleled level of convenience.”

The BMW Group plans to expand the ReachNow program to residential and business complexes across the U.S. in 2017.
