Artists & Fleas is a vintage market that brings a combination of independent Brooklyn art, design, and fashion to the Chelsea Market just below the High Line.

Since opening in April 2014, more than 30 independent makers and collectors have brought their merchandise for a full day of show-and-sell in this unique environment. Inside Artists & Fleas, customers can find everything from vintage jackets and sunglasses, to old records and organic made lotions, to handmade hair accessories.

What makes this place so exciting? New sellers arrive every other week making it a space where customers can constantly discover new treasures. In contrast, there are some permanent sellers, so just in case you didn’t bring your wallet along or you didn’t  see your dream dual-sided scarf; Juli Raja’s booth, as well as others, will still be there the next time that you visit. “The idea behind Juli’s products is about keeping craftsmanship alive and creating something a little extra special,” said Isha, an employee at Juli Raja. “We produce wood block printed fabrics and shirts using traditional Indian dyes.”

Other booths include Cynthia Rybakoff Jewelry, that features exotic stones and precious metals, Eat Records, that sells hard-to-find original tapes, CDs, vintage stereo equipment, and much more.
