Designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka, were inspired by visions of Capri in the 1960’s: a simple but riche daytime with polished poplin, glazed canvas, re-embroidered gauze, and linen hopsack complimented by a color palette of saturated fruit tones (Sicilian lemon, lime, bitter orange, fennel) and chic basics (safari khaki, army green, midnight navy, chalk white).

Embroideries and embellishments include couture-level romantic tee shirts, day-to-night looks with Bakelite vintage pieces, antiqued and super-polished gold and rose gold floral motifs, diamond-cut sequins, fanciful feathers and handmade tassels.

“We wanted to create our dream of Capri and the surrounding towns — a part of southern Italy we have yet to visit. http://www.fornasetti.com/history/dawn-of-dreams was also reportedly mesmerized by, and drew his engravings of, Capri before ever visiting; we have the same dream and are going for the first time next week. If he could dream and create his version of it, and then later realize it, we hope we can too.” Designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka
