This chilly weather may be uninspiring when it comes to planning your outfit each morning. Let’s look back on New York Fashion Week to get some #inspo.

This week, let’s focus on Karina Gamez. Never heard of her? Don’t worry — she’s about to become huge.

Earlier this year, Washington Square News named her one of the “10 Latina Designers About to Break Into the Mainstream Fashion Industry.”

And she already has quite the celebrity following, with fans like Solange Knowles and Eva Longoria.

The Venezuelan designer made her New York Fashion Week debut two years ago. This year, she presented Karigam, her 2016 Fall/Winter collection in West SoHo during NYFW in February at The Space at Skylight Clarkson Square.

Watch the video of the show here:

Her collection, titled Salto Angel, was inspired by the Angel Falls—one of the highest waterfalls in the world—in her home country. “It is the perfect combination of nature, texture and beauty shaped by the breathtaking Tepuys mountains,” she told Fox News Latino.

You can see aspects of linear architecture and country landscapes in this collection. Her work is a nice communication of cutting-edge stye mixed with functionality.

With high necklines and asymmetric cuts, her line is a modernization of winter chic. Full of knits, leathers, floor-length coats and colorful fur wraps, the line is stylish while giving us perfect outfits to bundle up in this nippy autumn weather we’ve been having.

She somehow brought the jungle feel into her show, filling the large, white space with green lighting and tall potted plants.

“I want the colors — grey-blues, mossy greens, and marsala (wine) tones — to reflect the jungle of Venezuela,” Gamez said.

The non-linear runway felt like a stream, with the models cutting through the crowd, as you can see in the show’s video.

Gamez began her line of clothing, titled KARIGAM, in 2014. Her background in business and fashion design has served her well, building her brand from the ground up.

Gamez created her brand to provide complex and unpredictable clothes for Latinas and cosmopolitans around the world. She is internationally known for her minimal, structured looks and her modern, feminine lines.

Her online shop is coming soon — and we can’t wait!
