Join the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy for their fourth annual Books Beneath the Bridge series, which began on July 6 and will continue each Monday until August 10.
Sponsored by AT&T, these free outdoor readings were organized by local, independent bookstores and are happening at Pier 1’s Granite Prospect. Each Monday it will begin at 7 p.m., with readings by several critically acclaimed authors including Kate Bolick, Jami Attenberg and Dennis Dunaway. With the sunset falling on the New York skyline as a backdrop, you do not want to miss out! This event will also feature a Poetry Salon.
The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy has been working tirelessly for over 30 years to make the Brooklyn Bridge Park lively and fun. Now in partnership with Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation, the duo tries to make the area vibrant and fun with new and intriguing events each week.
The participating bookstores in Books Beneath the Bridge are in control of organizing their own individual evenings by selecting a theme and authors of their choice. In addition to listening to these renowned authors, attendees will have the opportunity to ask them questions during a Q&A session. There will also be the chance to purchase books and meet the authors during a book signing following the reading.
