Vivienne Tam’s Spring/Summer 2015 Collection embodied Spring to the fullest with its colors, prints, and textures. The inspiration behind the line was “decorative treasures of the Ming and Qing dynasties that are housed in Forbidden Palace.” In the collection landscapes, florals and natural scenes were prevalent. Cobalt blues, intense greens, and saturated corals were found among the pieces with prints on textured cottons, lace, and laser-cut appliques. The pieces were very feminine with structures that gave them a chic twist. Vivienne also incorporated the “free spiritedness” of the 60’s and 70’s with A-line shift dresses and miniskirts, with some menswear influence as well including Bermuda shorts, pajama pants, and geometric tops. Overall Vivienne Tam produced a beautiful, wearable collection!
